This upcoming weekend is set to bring predominantly dry and cold conditions across the region. Weather experts are predicting the possibility of light snowfall in certain areas on Saturday night and into Sunday morning, as reported by meteorological sources.
Saturday will kick off with chilly temperatures hovering around freezing point. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 2 degrees Celsius in the northern regions and around 4 degrees Celsius in the southern parts, marking unusually cold weather for this time of year. Typically, mid-February temperatures average around 6 degrees Celsius.
Sunday's forecast promises clear skies, albeit with persisting cold temperatures. Most areas will not exceed 3 degrees Celsius during the day, with the northeast experiencing even lower temperatures reaching 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. An eastern wind will add to the chill, making it feel like -1 to -6 degrees Celsius.
The dry weather is expected to continue into the following week, with widespread moderate frost possible overnight and daytime temperatures remaining just above freezing. Despite the cold, chances of ice skating are slim as the cold spell is not projected to last long enough. Temperatures are anticipated to rise from Wednesday onwards, with weather conditions becoming more unsettled and milder.
