On the 10th of March, the esteemed contractor Negam, commissioned by the Putten municipality and the Vital Holiday Parks program, commenced a series of nature-enhancing initiatives in Krachtighuizen. The project is set along the Krachtigerhuizerweg, Oude Prinsenweg, Oude Garderenseweg, Schovenhorsterveldweg, and the N303.
Over the past decade, a collaborative effort involving entrepreneurs, residents, local stakeholders, and the community, under the Vital Holiday Parks initiative, has transformed Krachtighuizen into a more appealing destination for living, leisure, and work. A 2022 implementation strategy was adopted to further boost the recreation sector, nature preservation, and sustainability in Krachtighuizen.
The ongoing activities aim to enhance the natural environment and biodiversity, elevate the quality of holiday parks, and pave the way for a sustainable future benefiting both business owners and residents.
By May 2024, consultancy firm Tauw had drafted an inspiring concept with measures to fortify the natural landscape and biodiversity in Krachtighuizen. This vision document was formally approved by the council before the summer of the same year.
The nature-enhancing endeavors are aligned with the Putterpoorten Krachtighuizerheide project. Initiatives include replacing the bramble strips along the heath's northern fringe with edge vegetation. Additionally, the T-junction of Oude Garderense and Oude Prinsenweg will see an expansion to accommodate more plants and insects.
During the progression of the project, there may be temporary inconveniences due to material transportation and evolving traffic conditions. The contractor is devoted to minimizing any disruptions.
